Sigma Nu 1975 Rock Painting.

For many years it has been a tradition for organizations to "paint the
rock". In earlier times, fraternities on campus battled to see who
could capture the rock and keep their letters on it the longest. Sigma
Nu is historically the most feared contender as they camped and guarded
the rock for weeks at a time. As years have passed the rules have
changed somewhat in an effort to bring fairness of ownership of the
rock between the fraternities and sororities.
Sigma Nu still keeps
their legacy alive by keeping the rock painted black and gold at every
opportunity. We share with you below a glimpse of this tradition.
This rock is located in front of the Library by the pic-nic tables at SPSU.
